Page thought leader and architect Shelby Blessing has experience designing for members of society who face atypical challenges.

She has worked with the homeless for years, developing affordable residential designs that are sensitive to their need for personal space. Shelby also has researched and proposed evolved designs for public restrooms that address the concerns of users. However, she has a more socially holistic approach to architectural design than just those two topics. Watch the below video to learn about how Shelby strives to create design that makes all lives better.

About Shelby

Shelby is passionate about creating vibrant spaces that encourage users to thrive and has spoken on the role of architecture in cultural advocacy topics. In addition to her work at Page, Shelby has served as leader of AIA Austin DesignVoice, a committee that connects design professionals with opportunities to serve their community, and the AIA Austin Leadership Collective, a skills-based architectural leadership development program.
