Design architect Mark Koester has joined Page to lead the firm’s architecture studio on the West Coast. He brings an extensive housing and hospitality portfolio of projects located throughout California, the U.S., Asia and Latin America for which he has won numerous awards. Mark will be based in the firm’s San Francisco office and will collaborate with design teams in other Page locations.
Mark’s professional strengths include project conceptualization, programming, innovative design solutions and stakeholder engagement. He has designed and managed projects for many of the world’s largest residential developers, including 70 housing and hospitality projects with a real estate value exceeding $5B and including more than 15,000 residences in mostly mid-rise or high-rise structures.
During his career, Mark has held responsibility for all aspects of design, project and construction management. However, his greatest value proposition is his design creativity, technological innovation and sustainable design solutions that enable enhanced stewardship of resources over the lifetime of a building or community.
Prior to joining Page, Mark served as Chief Strategic & Creative Officer of a sustainable housing company based in San Francisco. Before that, Mark was a principal of BAR Architects in San Francisco for 13 years. He also has held positions at Fisher Friedman Associates in San Francisco; Niles Bolton Associates in Atlanta, and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in Portland.
Page is pleased to welcome Mark Koester to the firm.
