Pager Tapped For Industry Leadership Appointments
Page Associate Principal Peter M. Winters FAIA, CFM, IFMA Fellow, has a long record of service with architectural associations as well as related industry organizations such as the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). This year, IFMA has tapped Pete yet again for another leadership role with not one but two appointments.
IFMA is a global professional organization of facility managers representing most of the world’s largest organizations. Its membership, which is close to 25,000, is comprised of Corporate, Healthcare, Government, Technology, Academic and other market sectors. They have asked Pete to serve in two capacities in 2017.
To better manage and address issues around the world, the Global IFMA Board of Directors created three regional Boards of Directors in 2017 that serve the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia Pacific). Pete was elected to the Chairman of Board of the America’s Advisory Board this year.
In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing outreach and interaction with IFMA Chapters, Councils and other components of IFMA; enhancing education quality and content as well as facility management research; participating in legislative activity where appropriate and establishing recognitions and awards in the Americas Region.
As one of approximately 150 IFMA Fellows worldwide, Pete is qualified to participate on the Fellows Task Force, a group of six appointed Fellows that advises and serves IFMA’s Chairman of the Board. He has been Co-Chair of the Task Force since 2014 and was asked to re-up his service again. Pete and his Task Force colleagues represent some of the most experienced and knowledgeable facility professionals in the world on specific issues identified by IFMA’s Board of Directors.
Pete also is a Fellow of the College of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and was asked to serve on the Fellows Committee for the Dallas Chapter of AIA. This committee identifies qualified candidates in their chapter that have made great contributions to the field of architecture or to the AIA. Fellowship is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a member in recognition for their exceptional work.
This volunteer work is in addition to Pete’s role at Page as Corporate / Commercial Market Sector Manager. Please join us in congratulating Pete on these third-party recognitions of his expertise and his willingness to contribute to the improvement of these industries.
