Kendall was drawn to a career in architecture because he wanted to make a difference to people’s lives. He grew up participating on many mission trips which allowed him to experience firsthand the difference a building can make to a person. Kendall explains, “The instant gratification of a design coming together makes all the work on a project worth it.”
He enjoys the healthcare market sector because it presents new and exciting challenges every day. Kendall was originally introduced to the world of healthcare in college at Texas Tech University where he found himself in a healthcare design studio quite by accident. However, he realized quickly that it was where he belonged.
Through this program, he had the opportunity to participate in competitions across the U.S. and eventually wound up presenting to a Page principal. After speaking briefly about Kendall’s love for Dallas and willingness to come back to the city he was born and raised in, an interview was set and the rest is history.
In his first couple years at Page, he had the opportunity to work on several high-level program types within the healthcare sector. Kendall enjoys the close, collaborative environment at Page and feels he thrives in it. He loves engaging with clients to understand their needs while maintaining constant communication with the engineering project team members to effectively carry out his designs.
