OnPointe Adora Transitional Healthcare & Assisted Living
Page is supporting OnPointe, a facilitator of senior healthcare, in the expansion of its network into the Dallas market. Their business model allows residents to transition through multiple stages of care offered by different providers all on the same premises, and Page is charged with customizing the facilities to maximize stakeholder experience. This includes incorporating surrounding environments and local cultural characteristics.
Page has designed Adora-branded transitional healthcare and assisted living projects for OnPointe in Dallas which, combined, will ultimately house 158 rehabilitation patients and 61 residents in assisted living. The centers provide Skilled Nursing rehabilitative environments for short-term ‘guests’ and Assisted Living accommodations for long-term ‘residents’. Each Assisted Living floor is designed to create a neighborhood with private rooms, interactive social spaces and small group dining for a tight communal bond.
The main lobbies in the Adora facilities provide a relaxing atmosphere with a casual seating area by the fireplaces, a walk-up bistro for quick bites, lighted artwork and a concierge desk for guest services and current events. A few steps away from each lobby is an open restaurant to allow guests and residents to mingle with each other and to provide a private space for visiting families to celebrate a special day. Front and center are the Chef’s demonstration station to encourage healthy eating in a cooking class atmosphere. A therapy spa, fitness center and outdoor courtyard all promote healthy living and social interaction.
While the exterior architecture of the facilities draw from contemporary styles, the individual designs are complementary to their neighborhoods. Adora Midtown is located in North Dallas, a short distance from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. The new three-story building is nestled in the up and coming Midtown Park development for work, live, play - and now healing places. Its smooth, light-colored monolithic stucco walls, large windows and flat roofs are reflective of the technological advances the area is known for. The interior architecture features a cool color palette in the carpeting and walls with accents of granite, decorative pendant light fixtures and a splash of colors in the furniture fabrics and artwork.
Adora Creekside is located in Southern Dallas, a short distance from Methodist Charlton Medical Center. The design nestles the single-story, two building campus in a semi-rural setting with a natural creek running through the site and mature stand of trees. The exterior architecture draws from a prairie ranch style with lap siding and rough Austin stone, sloped metal roofs and deep overhangs while the interior architecture features a warm color palette in the carpeting and walls, splashes of colors in the furniture fabrics and artwork and decorative pendant light fixtures.
The 77,000 square foot Adora Midtown center has provided state-of-the-art healing environments for 108 people since opening in the summer of 2017. The 70,000 square foot Adora Creekside will provide healthcare-based accommodations for 111 people when it opens.
