Winner of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) 2018 Honor Award of Excellence in Planning for New Campus Planning, this plan creates a vision to support the growth of the first four-year university in Central Oregon. It also serves as a physical manifestation of OSU’s values of innovation, wellness, and sustainability. Resilience is a key driver for the plan, resulting in a campus with sustainability, flexibility, and efficiency integrated into every level of development. The goals for Triple Net Zero water, energy, and waste, reflect the University’s and community’s core values and are expressed in the form of a campus living laboratory. The resulting plan is resilient, welcoming, and integrated with the community.

The plan establishes a creative framework that includes a mixed-use Innovation District to foster public-private partnerships, mid-market housing to address affordability in the community, and siting of shared community facilities that support local community organizations.
