The Home of the PGA of America building embraces the defining characteristics of Texas Modern Architecture. Working within the local context and climate as well as utilizing appropriate building materials are principles that helps to create a unique and iconic facility. The use of stone, for example, is important in creating identity, and its implementation is honest, while at the same time efficient and economical. Utilizing stone that is quarried regionally and is of a robust depth both improves the building’s energy performance as well as creates the character of Texas architecture. With our big open skies and rolling plains, the ability to harness northern daylight as well as provide views to the outdoors is crucial in the creation of this modern architecture that takes advantage of the natural environment and embeds itself within the community. The use of shading devices for windows, trellises and natural vegetation and landscape are also key elements that provide very real functions to the building while at the same time helping define the character.

The Home of the PGA of America serves its staff, members, and visitors as a destination for the future of Golf. The facility serves a wide variety of uses include a state-of-the-art Education Center and Studio, Hospitality for Tour Events, and office space to support a
growing, vibrant organization.
