Advancing hospital design and exceeding client expectations drives Charles. With over four decades in healthcare architecture, he has led large project teams of working over approaching $10 billion in projects nationwide. Known for his evidence-based approach and love for research, Charles' passion is for improving patient outcomes, reducing providers' stress, and supporting clients' recruitment initiatives. He has served the profession as a past board member within the Academy and president of the Academy of Architecture for Health and the foundation president. In 2016 he was elevated to the College of Fellows of the AIA.
