Mina's research integrates multidisciplinary approaches to examine the critical role of design and architecture in creating healthy spaces. Her primary passion lies in designing for pediatric populations and autistic individuals. She recently completed her Ph.D., focusing on the experiences of autistic children and their parents in outpatient waiting areas. A strong advocate for evidence-based design, Mina is developing a planning tool to help architects design more effectively for autistic children. She has also contributed to initiatives ranging from improving emergency room design for pediatric patients to optimizing anesthesia workspaces.
