Houston Regional Office Building (FBI)
The GSA Regional Headquarters, designed under a 'Top Secret' classification, was developed with sustainability in mind. This eight-story regional office houses agents and key investigative personnel while integrating environmental responsiveness, resource efficiency, and community sensitivity as core design principles.
Page served as the Commissioning Provider, overseeing the total building commissioning process to meet LEED requirements. A key focus of the commissioning effort was optimizing high-performance mechanical and electrical systems, including verifying the effectiveness of energy recovery units in capturing and reusing waste heat to enhance overall energy efficiency.
Additionally, the installation of an Underfloor Air Distribution System (UFAD) played a crucial role in improving occupant comfort and indoor air quality. Commissioning tests verified that the UFAD system consistently delivered conditioned air directly to occupied zones, reducing temperature stratification and ensuring even airflow distribution. Leakage testing was also performed to prevent energy losses and maintain the overall efficiency of the HVAC system.
