The University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) campus continues to evolve, strategically balancing academic research, teaching, and patient care. Guided by a comprehensive master plan, the north and west campuses have become the hub for outpatient services, consolidating care into modern facilities. Meanwhile, the south campus focuses on academic research, faculty offices, and teaching spaces, repurposing and modernizing existing structures.

A key part of this transformation is rebranding the Aston Building for the O’Donnell Brain Institute. Following the relocation of 20% of outpatient clinics to the west campus in 2018, the opportunity arose to modernize and expand the remaining clinics, offices, and research units. The renovations enhance patient care through improved wayfinding, refreshed public spaces, and flexible clinic layouts for multidisciplinary collaboration. With clean, modern finishes and enhanced lighting, the revitalized space creates an environment that supports innovation, research, and exceptional patient care.
