Renovation of Memorial Hospital North Radiation Oncology Building
UCHealth Memorial Hospital North is making world-class cancer treatment more accessible to northern El Paso County and Monument residents with its new Radiation Oncology Center. Designed to ease the stress of treatment, Page’s 9,600-square-foot design features a spa-like atmosphere with contemporary finishes, modern art, and warm, natural materials.
The center was designed with Lean principles to enhance efficiency and patient experiences. An on-stage/off-stage layout improves circulation by separating patient areas from staff workspaces, reducing congestion and ensuring seamless care. A streamlined check-in process, private dressing rooms, and an optimized treatment flow allow most patients to complete the process in just 15–20 minutes.
The center features the Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, housed in a vault with 7.5-foot-thick high-density concrete walls. This leading-edge technology delivers precise, efficient radiation treatment in an environment that balances innovation, comfort, and compassionate care.
