Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site

During the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863, a two-room farmhouse stood in an open field between the Confederate and Union armies. James Warfield, an African American blacksmith, owned the home, but when Confederate troops approached, he and his family fled, fearing capture. 

The Antietam National Battlefield Visitor Center was built in 1962 as part of the Mission 66 program, which enhanced visitor access to national parks across the United States. Today, it welcomes 350,000 visitors annually, offering education, panoramic views, and immersive exhibits at one of the most intact battlefields in the United States. The 9,000-square-foot building features a main lobby and Ranger contact station, 100-seat auditorium, observation room, bookstore, and staff offices. 

Located adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery, the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial is dedicated to all Marines who gave their lives for our country. It's visited by 1.5 million people annually, but it had no on-site visitor facilities. So, the National Park Service engaged Page to design a new comfort station and site upgrades to improve accessibility and the visitor experience.

The Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum documents the life and times of President Eisenhower from his early years in Abilene, through his distinguished military career, and into his days as a world leader. Spanning 22 acres, the landscaped campus includes five buildings constructed between 1954 and 1976: a library, museum, visitors center, Eisenhower’s original boyhood home, and memorial chapel.
