Army Cyber Institute
With a critical mission in cyber research, education, and strategy, the Army Cyber Institute (ACI) required a workspace that could evolve alongside the rapidly expanding cyber domain. To meet this need, Page partnered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to reimagine and renovate Spellman Hall, creating a modern, flexible environment tailored to ACI’s mission.
Built in 1967 as a dormitory for Ladycliff College, Spellman Hall was later repurposed as office space when the U.S. Military Academy acquired it in 1980. However, the original dormitory layout restricted flexibility, resulting in small, isolated offices with limited collaboration space—challenging ACI’s operational needs.
Page addressed these constraints by fully reconfiguring the building’s interior. By removing partitions and consolidating individual offices into larger, open spaces, the design unlocked additional square footage, improving efficiency and creating a more dynamic work environment. The renovation introduced new classrooms and conference rooms to enhance collaboration while strategically consolidating tenants to provide ACI with a contiguous workspace that supports team interaction and mission success.
The transformed Spellman Hall now serves as a forward-thinking hub for cyber research and innovation. With improved flexibility, connectivity, and functionality, ACI is equipped with the infrastructure needed to advance its mission in an increasingly complex cyber landscape.
