New Engineering Building
The Applied Engineering Hub at CCSU is a dynamic learning environment designed to prepare and empower future engineers. Housing state-of-the-art labs, instructional spaces, and collaborative project areas, it supports Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, and Civil Engineering programs.
Key technical spaces, including labs focused on robotics, mechatronics, and pneumatics, alongside a structural test bay, are strategically located on the first floor for public access and enhanced visibility, inviting visitors and prospective students alike to tour the building and see new technology in action. Glass-walled labs further foster transparency and engagement between disciplines.
An open stairway connects the lobby to upper-level classrooms and advanced engineering spaces, reinforcing interdisciplinary collaboration. Thoughtfully designed for flexibility and innovation, the hub ensures CCSU students don’t just adapt to the future of engineering—they define it.
Flexible multi-purpose facility promoting team-based collaboration
The building contains departmental faculty offices, a 200-seat lecture hall, and a multi-purpose lounge, and collaboration areas. Featured spaces include multiple robotics structures, digital labs, and flexible, transparent project labs to promote student-led, team-based collaboration.
