Leading the newly formed medical school’s vision to “Rethink Everything,” Page, in collaboration with SLAM, designed the Dell Medical School Health Learning Building to set a new standard for world-class medical education. The result? An adaptable, state-of-the-art facility that meets today’s needs and anticipates the future of collaborative, experiential learning.

The Health Education Center (HEC) at UTMB Galveston is a 160,000-square-foot facility for advanced learning and instruction. Designed for interprofessional education, it unites students across medicine, nursing, and health professions, alongside training for residents, nurses, and physicians.

Tasked with creating a state-of-the-art, student-centered facility for a new medical school, Page’s high-performance design seamlessly integrates instruction, experiential learning, and discovery while setting the stage for the university’s future growth. 

A 21st-century interprofessional urban teaching, learning, and research community, NYU’s new facility features leading-edge, human-focused technology and fosters collaboration. Page and KPF partnered to co-locate three distinct programs — nursing, dentistry, and bioengineering — leveraging their expertise in healthcare and research environments to create synergistic connections.
