New York Police Memorial
First dedicated in October 1997, the New York City Police Memorial stands as a place of reflection, honoring NYPD officers who have given their lives in the line of duty since 1849. A solemn ceremony unveils newly inscribed names each year, ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten.
The memorial reached capacity in the wake of 9/11, making expansion necessary to continue this tribute. Page was honored to help carry this legacy forward—expanding the name capacity, refining inscriptions, and upgrading lighting while preserving the integrity of the original design.
Water remains a central symbol, representing an officer’s journey from service to sacrifice. Adding a new granite wall reinforces the memorial’s sacred presence, creating space for remembrance and reflection. Our graphics team was pivotal in designing the name configuration, ensuring every inscription was placed with clarity and care.
Rededicated in July 2022, the memorial is a lasting tribute to courage, service, and sacrifice.
